My old dog has arthritis. I researched what alternative vets recommended and looked for an all-in-one supplement to add to his food that would give him some relief. Priority Flex worked to improve his mobility, but his listless behavior told me that it either gave him a stomach-ache or made him nauseated, so I reluctantly had to get him something weaker with less curcumin. Micronized curcumin combined with boswellin as it is in Priority Flex is the number one pain reliever in herbal medicine, but the amount in even one cap (the human dosage is 4/day) seems to be too much for my largish dog.

Since the dog's issue doesn't apply to people, I didn't reduce the rating from 5 stars to 4 because of his reaction, but because of the odd combination of vegetarian capsule and shellfish-derived glucosamine. The vegetarian capsules would lead most to think that the product is vegetarian when it is not, even though vegetarian glucosamine is available from other supplement makers. However, if you don't have a problem with a shellfish derived product, this formula gives excellent results when taken with a meal. My dog was able to move much more freely after only a week, and people generally do better with curcumin than dogs.
